A headlines read that Princess Margaret made a 4 hour visit to to mark the day Solihull became a Metropolitan Borough.  Member Maris remembers waving a flag as  Princess Margaret drove by.  The evening’s 50’s theme encouraged a few to don vintage attire and the winner was Valerie looking splendid in a black velvet dress given to her by her aunt who is now 102 years old.  An inherited fox fur stole finished off the 50’s outfit.  Five  visitors experienced Soroptimist business along with friendship at this Supper meeting.
