How are Soroptimists in helping Women and their Children in Solihull?
Gift Bags for Christmas
Gift bags for 11 women and their 22 children, currently staying at the Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid (B&SWA) refuge will be delivered this week. B&SWA gave us the information we needed on each family, numbers, ages and gender of the children, so the bags were tailor made. Each woman and child will receive their own gift bag, but also a “Family Bag” containing board games and other gifts. Thanks to the generosity of Waitrose in Solihull, each family will receive a delivery of Christmas food.
All this was made possible by our Club members and President Margaret who either donated the items or cash. Our fantastic Crafts and Laughs Group then made this wonderful array of colourful and exciting bags.
