Solihull Remembers, is an exhibition about the centenary of the First World War now open in the Heritage Gallery at Solihull Library.
In this exhibition visitors are able to find out how the First World War impacted on local people who lived, fought and died during the conflict. There is a display featuring the names of all the Silhillians who were involved in the conflict and visitors can read about some of their stories.
There is also a display to celebrate 100 years of Women’s Suffrage which has come from research done by Jan Tilsley, a member of Soroptimist International Solihull & District. This display has been used during the part few months by Club members celebrating the centenary of some women getting the vote in 1918.
The Solihull Remembers Exhibition can be viewed during Solihull Library opening hours and will be up on display until 2nd February 2019.
